ISTANBUL & MORE

HAGIA SOPHIA
This world fameous structure is a Byzantine churchbuilt by Justinian. It was later converted to a mosque and is now a museum.
TROY
The famous Trojan Wars took place in Western Turkey, around the site where a wooden model of the Trojan Horse has been erected at the site. Homer (Homeros) was born in İzmir on the west coast of Turkey and he depicted Troy, which is in Canakkale, in his Epic the Eliad.
 
HAMAM
Turkish bath is the middle eastern variant of a steam bath. For the Turkish bath was more than just a place to cleanise the skin. It was intimately bound up with everyday life, a place where people could come freely.
ANKARA
Alexander the Great conquered a large territory what is now Turkey and cut the Gordion Knot in the Phrygian capital (Gordium) not far from Turkey”s present-day capital Ankara.
