Istanbul - Bursa - Pergamon - Izmir - Kusadasi - Pamukkale – Konya - Cappadocia - Ankara

Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul

Arrival to Istanbul Airport. Transfer to the hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul

After breakfast today’s half day tour takes you for visits are Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Ancient Hippdrome. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3: Istanbul – Iznik– Bursa (185 km)

After breakfast you will depart for Bursa via Nicea. Nicea, today named Iznik, is where the first and seventh Ecumenical councils in the early history of the Christian church took place, The visits are ancient walls and the Hagia Sophia Church of Nicea. Bursa was the capital of the Ottoman Empire between 1326 – 1395. Visits at Bursa are the Green Mosque, the Green Tomb and the Grand Mosque. Overnight in Bursa.

Day 4: Bursa – Pergamon (262 km)

After breakfast, drive to Pergamon. At the arrival visit of the Red Basilica. Overnight in Pergamon.

Day 5: Pergamon – Thyatira - Izmir (200 km)

Breakfast and departure for full day tour of Pergamon. Sites in Pergamon to visit include the Acropolis and Asclepion. Enroute you will visit Thyatira which is another of the seven churches of Revelation. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 6: Izmir

Today after breakfast you will see the modern city and the church of St. Polycarp. St. Polycarp was Izmir’s first bishop who served the city for over 50 years. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 7: Izmir – Kusadasi (302 km)

After breakfast, departure for Philadelphia which is of the seven Revelation churches. And the last visit is in Sardis where historians believe coinage was invented. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 8: Kusadasi

After breakfast you will visit the Ephesus Ancient City with its Celsius library and massive theatre in which St. Paul preached to the Ephesians. The rest of the day will be reserved for the Basilica of St John and the Virgin Mary’s House. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 9: Kusadasi – Pamukkale (267 km)

Breakfast and departure for Aphrodisias, the city named after the Greek Goddess of Love Aphrodite. Departure for Laodicea which is one of the Seven Churches of Revelation written about by St. John. Arrival to Pamukkale and visit of the Traverten Cascades. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 10: Pamukkale – Konya (455 km)

After breakfast today’s visits take you to the Hierapolis, the ancient Greco-Roman city on top of hot springs, that was founded as a healing care centre in 190 BC, taking advantage of the mineral waters in the area. Overnight in Konya.

Day 11: Konya – Cappadocia (230 km)

After breakfast, visits in Konya are Sultanhan and Mouseleum of Mevlana, founder of the Sufi Order. Drive to Cappadocia for overnight.

Day 12: Cappadocia

After breakfast today’s visits take you to the labyrinthine tunnels of the Underground City of Kaymakli. The next visits of the day are the Uchisar Castle and the Goreme Open Air Museum which is a cluster of rock cut Byzantine churches, chapels and monasteries. Then proceed to Devrent Valley which is know as pink valley because of the color of it‘s soil. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 13: Cappadocia – Ankara (296 km)

After breakfast, departure for Ankara. You will visit Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the Mausoleum of Ataturk. Overnight in Ankara.

Day 14: Ankara – Istanbul (450 km)

After breakfast, departure for Istanbul. At the arrival to Istanbul visit of the Chora Church, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of a Byzantine church, containing well preserved mosaics and frescoes. Overnight in Istanbul

Day 15: Departure from Istanbul

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to your country.
