Istanbul - Antakya - Cappadocia - Konya - Pamukkale - Kusadasi - Izmir - Istanbul

Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul

Arrival to Istanbul Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul

After breakfast today’s a half day tour takes you for visit the Holy Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Ancient Hippodrome, scene of chariot races and the centre of Byzantine civic life. Overningt in Istanbul

Day 3: Istanbul - Antakya

After breakfast, depature for visit of the Chora Church, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of a Byzantine church. Then proceed to the Suleymaniye Mosque, built in the name of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent by Architect Sinan. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Antakya. After a short flight arrival to Antakya Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Antakya.

Day 4: Antakya – Tarsus – Cappadocia ( 492 km )

Breakfast and departure for Cappadocia via Tarsus. First visit at the city is to the Gate of Cleopatra, the only ancient city gate still standing, where Anthony and Cleopatra entered the city in 41 BC. Then visit of the Church and Well of St. Paul. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 5: Cappadocia

After breakfast today’s visits take you to the labyrinthine tunnels of the Underground City of Kaymakli. The tour proceeds to Goreme Open Air Museum, Devrent Valley and Uchisar Castle. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 6: Cappadocia – Konya (230 km)

Breakfast and departure for Konya. Visits in Konya are Sultanhan and Mausoleum of Mevlana, founder of the Sufi Order, and the Karatay Medrese. Overnight in Konya

Day 7: Konya - Pamukkale (455 km)

After breakfast, departure for Pamukkale. Visits of the day are the Antioch in Pisidia where St Paul is believed to have performed his first recorded sermon in Acts and Hierapolis that was founded as a healing care centre in 190 BC, taking advantage of the mineral waters in the area. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 8: Pamukkale – Aphrodisias - Kusadasi (267 km)

After breakfast, departure for Laodicea which is one of the Seven Churches of Revelation written about by St. John. Then departure for Aphrodisias, the city named after the Greek Goddess of Love Aphrodite. Drive to Kusadasi and overnight.

Day 9: Kusadasi

After breakfast, you will visit the Ephesus Ancient City with its Celsius library and massive theatre in which St. Paul preached to the Ephesians. The rest of the day will be reserved for the Basilica of St John and the Virgin Mary’s House. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 10: Kusadasi

Breakfast and departure for Didyma which was an ancient Ionian sanctuary, containing a temple and the Didymaion, oracle of Apollo. You will continue to Miletus where St. Paul set sail for Jerusalem at the end of his third missionary journey. Last visit of the day is Priene that was an ancient Greek city of Ionia and member of the Ionian League. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 11: Kusadasi – Izmir ( 90 km )

After breakfast, departure for Izmir where you will visit the ancient agora and the Church of St. Polycarp. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 12: Izmir - Istanbul

After breakfast, transfer to the Izmir Airport for flight to Istanbul. At the arrival to Istanbul visit of the Chora Church which is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of a Byzantine church. Overnight in Istanbul

Day 13: Departure from Istanbul

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to your country
